Witches, ghosts and skeletons seem to be the most popular characters for Halloween, but what about Frankenstein's monster? These chocolate Frankenstein's monster cupcake toppers are perfect for Halloween, especially for little ones. He isn't too creepy and his big candy eyes make him pretty adorable. - Candy Eyes
- Green chocolate melts
- Black chocolate melts
- Piping bags
- Wax paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Baking sheet
STEP ONE: Print your template, then cover it with a sheet of wax paper. Use tape to secure both pieces to a baking sheet.
STEP TWO: Place candy melts in piping bags (make sure the end it shut and tip has not been cut) and melt in microwave in 30 second increments until chocolate is runny and smooth.
STEP THREE: Cut the tip off of your green bag and trace the outline of the whole head. Fill in center. when all heads have been filled in, pick up your baking tray about an inch or so from the counter and let it drop. This will help get rid of air bubbles and smooth out your chocolate a little. Remember your monster doesn't have to be perfect... Frankenstein's monster isn't!
STEP FOUR: Cut off the smallest tip from your chocolate candy melts piping bag, so you can create the stitching on the monster's head. Add your candy eyes too!
STEP FIVE: Add a little mouth. It can be frowning or smiling, it's up to you.
STEP SIX: Cut off a bit more from the tip of your chocolate piping bag and create the hair on your monster. Remember it doesn't have to be perfect. NOW, let your chocolate harden. You can let it sit out if it isn't too hot or pop the whole tray in the fridge for 15 minutes or so.
STEP SEVEN: Peel your monsters off the wax paper and place them on top of freshly frosted cupcakes. DELISH!
